signed and dated as an otherwise true record.
226 The following payments were authorised:
Hire of Athenaeum all year -
£86.50, cheque100002.
Clerks
Salary and Expenses, three months - £500, cheque
100003.
Councillor
T Parker, expenses for the year - £30, cheque 100004.
Councillor Parker informed the Council
that the village had been offered a swing in good order,
of suitable construction, for the playground.
He had costed out the installation at £725 and
wished to add this to the expenditure of the second phase. As there weren’t quite sufficient funds, £463
would need to be paid out of Parish Council reserves for the present but would
hopefully be replaced by fund raising in the near future. The Playground
Committee intend to approach ‘Neighbourhood
Forum’ for a grant. The Councillors agreed to the proposal and expect the total
cost to be £4344.
The Clerk is to explore the possibility of delaying
the Engineers Annual Inspection of the playground until the swings have been
installed.
227 Planning Applications.
A6 Milnthorpe to Blue
The Councillors approved of the proposal and thought that perhaps it should have been extended beyond the small industrial units towards Levens.
