HEVERSHAM Bellringers led by George Handley were joined by ringers from Crossthwaite and Kendal in the tower of St Peter's Church for Children in Need.
After ringing for an hour a collection was taken from the ringers and £92 was raised for the charity.

FLOOKBURGH Band, resplendent in their new uniforms, gave a concert in St Peter’s Church under conductor Mitchell Rowlandson. Proceeds from the concert are for St Thomas’ Church, Milnthorpe. The conductor paid tribute to Heversham members Ivan Hodgson and his late brother Harvey, thanking them for their service and support over many years.

MEMBERS of the indoor bowling club were entertained by Lindale Bowling Club, which won the match by 15.5 games to 8.5 games, and by 134 points to 77.
