AN APPEAL for the renovation and improvement of the clock in the tower of St Peter’s Church was well supported.
A gift day was held in church when photographs of the clock and information about the project were displayed.
Judy Dyer, leader of the handbell ringers, also had on show the set of handbells and the type of music used with them.
Those attending were invited to ascend the 90 plus steps in the tower and view the clock, ringing chamber and bells.

A COFFEE morning in aid of Missions to Seafarers was held in the Athenaeum when Adrian Mack, regional director, brought a selection of Christmas cards and other items for sale.
The event was organised by Dr Dorothy Williams and proceeds for the Mission amounted to £372.
