There was a good attendance at the first AGM of the Bowling Club
held in The Athenaeum, Leasgill.
Retiring chairman Ron Messenger gave a review of the first season.
Eric proctor was elected chairman and club captain for the coming season
and proposed a vote of thanks to Mr Messenger.
Other elections were: treasurer, Gordon Coleclough, and secretary John Smith.
Jean Handley, Margaret Nelson, Fran Skipworth, Les Askew, John Sykes and
Fred Walker were elected to the committee.
Retiring committee members Daphne Smith and Robin Sisson were thanked for their
work.
