Heversham Community News - 20th April 2001

During Holy Week, the Office of Compline was said in St Peter’s Church on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, each service being conducted by the vicar.

On Good Friday, an evening service of hymns and Bible readings by members of the congregation was held and attended by both Heversham and Milnthorpe parishioners.

On Easter Sunday, the Rev Ron Rutter conducted the service and the vicar preached the sermon and celebrated Holy Communion.
During the service the bare wooden Lenten cross was transformed by daffodils added one-by-one by the congregation as they proceeded to the altar.
