Heversham Community News - 13th April 2001Roger Bingham conducted the morning service for Palm Sunday in St Peters Church and the Rev Jim Radcliffe celebrated Holy Communion. In place of a sermon there was a dramatic presentation of the events of Holy Week and palm crosses were available for all members of the congregation. Arthur Dewhurst was organist. The table top sale at Yew Tree House attracted a large number of customers. The proceeds of £1,000 will be equally divided between St Peters Church and the local primary School. The Playground Working Group concerned with the refurbishment and updating of the area is continuing its planning and fundraising activities. On April 24 the group is holding a Candle Party in the Old School at 8pm to raise additional funds.
