AT THE
parish council meeting,
an important item on the agenda was the recruitment of a new council
clerk.
Further work on the
playground
has been carried out by the contractors Playdale and the playground will be
reopened in the near future.
It was agreed that sufficient thinning of timber in the Quarry Wood had taken place during the winter period, but some more felling of sycamores might be desirable in winter 2003/04.
Steps are being taken to prepare for the annual parish meeting held
in the
Athenaeum,
on March 31 2003.
District councillor Brenda Woof informed the council that the pilot collection of recyclable refuse was going well. The next council meeting is February 24th 2003.
